The annual G8 and G20 leader's summits are attended by eight or twenty of the world's most powerful heads of government and lasts for 3 days of the year, with each nation taking it in turn to host the event.
EPS provided temporary power to Rest & Recreations areas for the Metropolitan Police Service for the most recent UK hosted summits travelling as far as Gleneagles, Scotland with our team and stock in tow for the G8 summit and a little closer to home for the G20 in London.
There was special focus on providing power to a network of mobile office and CCTV stations for the police as well as an abundance of temporary prison cell facilities.
The summits brings world leaders together, so naturally the security and police presence for such an event needs to be high due to the threat of violent demonstrations and acts of terror.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is famed around the world and has a unique place in the history of policing. It is by far the largest of the police services that operate in the greater London area.
Speedy EPS are proud to provide temporary power solutions to the MPS when they are dispatched from HQ to police events held throughout a diverse, cultural and sprawling London and often branching out across the UK for special operations.
We provide all power distribution for what is known to the officers as Rest & Recreation areas, created solely for the use of the MPS when they are off-duty and on scheduled breaks from the beat. This can include providing power to mobile office units, important CCTV stations and floodlighting as well as canteens, common areas and coffee machines.
The Metropolitan police serve the communities of London with more than 33,000 officers together with about 14,200 police staff, 270 traffic wardens and 4,700 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).
With the temporary power supplies Speedy EPS provide to the police service for public and sporting events, such as the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and the Notting Hill Carnival, we are pleased to be supporting The Metropolitan Police in helping to keep crime to a minimum for a safer London.
Speedy EPS are also listed by The Metropolitan Police as Emergency Responders. Should there be a national emergency; we are poised to provide The Metropolitan Police with any available resources to keep their operations powered.
